TSA Scientific Visualization (SciVis) is one of the Technology Student Association's high school competitions. In this competition, participants must create a 2-4 minute video explaining a STEM topic. In 2018, I and two friends decided to make a video explaining the process of sonoluminescence (microscopic bubbles rapidly growing and collapsing to create heat), using Autodesk 3ds Max as our animation software. All three of us were entirely new to 3D animation software, so we used this project as an opportunity to learn as much about 3ds Max as possible, and get used to working in a 3D environment. This video got 8th place in the 2017 TSA National Conference, and 3rd place in Virginia at states.
